The UNC Hospitals Perioperative Division is seeking a valuable team member to join the our postoperative department. We have 26 PACU bays, 6 holding area bays, and perform 27,000 cases per year. Cases include robotics, minimally invasive, transplants, open heart and traumas. You can expect to recover complex cases with a team of passionate and collegial professionals, utilizing the best patient care models. Our ideal candidate will possess considerable knowledge of critical care procedures, be able to adapt to change, maintain a safe environment, possess the ability to w
work independently as well as on teams effectively care for our patients and families.
Strongly prefer a minimum of 2 years of PACU, critical care or emergency room experience.
Schedule: 40 hours/week 3pm -11:30pm
Some call and holidays are required.

Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
